How to set up Gmail 2-step authentication

Follow the steps below to configure and turn on 2-step authentication for Gmail.

1. Log into Gmail

2. Click the profile icon in the top right corner

3. Select Manage your Google Account

4. Select Security from the menu on the left

5. Scroll down and look for 2-Step Verification, click the arrow next to it

6. Enter your personal phone number and select Next

7. Enter the code you received and select Next again

8. Select Turn On to complete the setup
