Special Email Templates in Outlook
Outlook doesn't currently offer a template feature that allows you to create email templates with images and special formatting.
If you would like to create templates with images and formatting:
- You will need to use the Outlook desktop app on your computer (not available in the web version)
- The email templates will be saved to your computer and opened from there
- If you want to create simple text templates, see My Templates in Outlook for more information on how to set those up.
Create saved emails to use as templates:
1. Open the Outlook app on your computer
2. Select New mail to open a blank message

3. Compose the email

4. Once you have your email template ready, click Message at the top of the screen
5. Click the 3 dots at the end of the toolbar
6. Highlight Save as and select Save draft as file

7. In the save window, enter a file name, choose your save location, and select Save

How to use saved template emails:
1. Navigate to the folder you saved the template to in the last section

2. Double-click the desired template
3. Check the Always use this app to open .eml files box and select Outlook on the pop-up message then click OK

4. Your email template will open in a new window. Add your recipients and make any changes before clicking Send
